Mike Scott is at the top of his game with “Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2’ review: A just-for-fun animated whimsy.” His thoughtful words will bring a smile to the face, stimulate the mind and improve the quality of your day.

In the snarky (but brutally honest) opening paragraphs, Scott delivers a zinger at the film, and grounds the reader in reality before moving on to deliver an an outstanding review.

Mike Scott is not intimidated by the enormous success of the first film, and sees beyond the visually grandiose sequel. The phrases employed by the critic, however, are remarkably funny and poignant as he recognizes the film as a Saturday morning friend who knows its purpose.

The artistic vision of the film is tackled with light words by Scott, who spends adequate time on the plot and reminds the reader that the gags are not exactly on par with Billy Wilder.

Audiences will be pleased at the direct tone of Scott, and how he takes a step back to recognize all the fun that can be had, especially with the inclusion of three former cast members of Saturday night Live.  The overall joyous vibe is successfully conveyed through playful words.

Animated whimsy is a complete work that covers the ups and down of a sequel, and will make one laugh in the end. It’s a victory for Mike Scott and his fans.
