Jeff Beck delivers an awkward performance in “Movie Review: Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2. “

The major flaw of Movie Review: Cloudy is the inability to express a clear opinion to the reader until midway into the piece. Beck does eventually transition into a clear analysis, however one may have already moved on by that point. It is important to capture one’s attention early on, however there is little energy or intriguing writing to separate Movie Review: Cloudy from the rest of the pack.

The remainder of Movie Review: Cloudy offers a decent  amount of insight, and Beck is fair with his examination. One will find value in the viewpoints of the critic, despite the monotonous tone that could put the drowsy readers to sleep. In fact, some may have the feeling that Ben Stein is reviewing the film.

Movie Review: Cloudy gently teases with an acknowledgement of the vocal talent, but walks away without explaining the enjoyable aspects. The animation is also briefly noted, albeit in the same unimaginative tone.

Movie Review: Cloudy has potential, however Jeff Beck fails to capture the comedic essence of the film. The critic need not go overboard with food jokes and explorations of the humor, but after the less-than-memorable open, most will conclude the review wishing they had picked a better one.
