The latest from Brent Simon, “Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs 2” is an outstanding look at the complexities of animation sequels and offers a sweet blend of awareness and technique.

Simon shoots out of the gates with a walloping concoction of phrases to convey his thesis statement. The reader will be  stunned at the conviction of the words, and will proceed to  read with respect through the entire review.

The story continues with a delightful look at the timing of the film’s release. Numbers are thrown around like a mad scientist, and one will know they are in the presence of a master mixer of of cinematic elements.

Consistency is key throughout this momentous review, and Simon glides through four paragraphs of plot description with ease and intellect.

In the final brilliant four paragraphs, Simon addresses thematic differences between the two films with extraordinary pacing and precision. The organization is easy to follow, yet written with great skill.

A Chance of Meatballs 2 is tremendous for its unique style and pacing. Simon never feels rushed, and uses the necessary words to express to the reader everything they need to know before making a decision. Simon’s work is a must read for young and old alike.
