Phil Villarreal’s “Kick to Your Junk” Is a Delightful Indulgence of Negativity

In response to Phil Villarreal’s 564‑word review of Kick-Ass 2 on

By ,

This review by Phil Villarreal entitled, “‘Kick-Ass 2? Is As Funny + Entertaining As A Swift Kick To Your Junk”, was delightfully hilarious. This review elicited not one, not two, but three separate occasions of literal giggles of laughter.

Villarreal captures the comedic timing of proper negativity to a point of majesty. He takes the producer, the director, the screenwriter all to task in a charmingly brutal way, making it immensely entertaining for the reader. Villarreal’s open candor about the “craptastic” nature of the film gives his audience a sense of kinship, as if he is sharing something so honest that he could only be professing these uncensored truths to his truly close cohorts.

Villarreal delves into the plot line and summary of the film but doesn‘t linger long enough to spoil the movie for the unknowing reader. He delicately dances around major events that occur by slamming the actors and their portrayed characters instead.

The presentation of the review itself was easily accessible with a handy rating system at the top of the page.
