The latest offering from Jeffrey M. Anderson, “Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2 (2013)”, is a respectable work for his readers, but fails to leave a lasting impact.

Anderson begins strong by providing the reader with a hook to keep their interest. The words are not especially extravagant, however the critic offers a bright commentary on a specific theme of cinema that should please his readers. It’s an admirable opening that definitely gets things off to a great start.

2 (2013) loses its steam in the following throwaway paragraphs. Anderson fails to inject any type of energy into his words, and refuses to expand on the visuals of the film. The middle section is disappointing as it is so run of the mill that it could literally be found anywhere in the world of reviews.

In the final paragraphs of 2 (2013), the construction and organization of Anderson tightens up, and his opinions are well-stated. Parents will be delighted by the information that is well-prepared, but the general reader will look elsewhere for a more an in-depth analysis. The work of Anderson is solid, but not all-star material.

2 (2013) is recommended, but with an asterisk. The reader will experience a light sensation of pleasure through the prose of Anderson, but only temporary. It isn’t great, and there have been some really great review released in recent days. This review isn’t among them.
