Susan Granger’s “Kick-Ass 2” Sadly Fails to Make Any Sense

In response to Susan Granger’s 346‑word review of Kick-Ass 2 on SSG Syndicate

Susan Granger’s “Kick-Ass 2” is a certified snooze-fest. The only refuge readers have with this piece is that it clocks in at only 346 words. Granger does little more than give a lifeless account of the plot and briefly mentions the character names. There is no actual analysis; everything here is just a recap.

Readers eyes fight to find a modicum of interest to grasp onto but ultimately there is nothing to save them. Instead they are left in the abyss of barren prose. Readers may find themselves trying to figure out what an “upper-corner panel captain” is longer than it takes to read the entire review. Spellcheck is a reviewer’s best friend.

The writing lacks connectivity. The intro leads into the plot but doesn’t actually give the reader anything to ponder. There is no oomph factor. A plain rundown of the movie’s synopsis fails to grab the reader’s attention and make this worth their time.

Granger’s review lacks any sort of logical segue into her final act. Instead it is just written and put there without any real explanation as to how it even got there. Readers will do well to skip this review and save themselves the feeling of confusion that hits during and after reading this piece.
