Jazon Zingale’s “Movie Review: ’Kick-Ass 2’” Is a Flawed but Fun Review for Adults Only

In response to Jason Zingale’s 661‑word review of Kick-Ass 2 on

By , caters to adults, and “Movie Review: ‘Kick-Ass 2’”, Jason Zingale’s recently written review published on the site is no exception. With adult language and subject matter, parents would do well to keep their kids from reading this review until they are a bit older.

Zingale has a penchant for using run -on sentences. It’s a distracting style to say the least and it takes some getting used to. Once the taste is acquired though, it is surprisingly satisfying. There is a lot of superb content to be digested in those long, rollicking, comma orgies.

Zingale seeks to place Kick-Ass 2 in its proper context and he is an expert guide. He is able to handle both the source material and the movie’s own predecessor with the skill of a seasoned professional. With one breath an improvement is pointed out, in the next, a shortcoming is revealed. It’s a non-stop thrill ride as readers are swept along the multi-faceted analysis.

Bullz-Eye could do a better job of providing a home for Zingale’s review. A distracting pop-up ad is placed in a way to awkwardly block the first few sentences and the whole review is rendered rather thin in order to be sandwiched between two much louder and more colorful columns of ads and related articles. If you can forgive it that, this review is a satisfyingly adult reading experience.
