Pete Hammond looks the viewer directly at the viewer in “Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs 2 Review.” One may expect a thorough breakdown of the film, but will likely be surprised that there is little to see or learn about—other than Hammond’s coat.

There is an absence of a legitimate introduction in Cloudy 2, but rather than critic informing the viewer that there is a sequel. Hammond fails to provide any back-story on the original, or even a slight commentary on the production team. In fact, the critic offers almost nothing in this disastrous video review.

Cloudy 2 is essentially Hammond revealing the plot synopsis, and naming the “foodimal” characters while clips are shown. The critic fails to mention the cast members, the content of the jokes or even an slight commentary on the key characters. The viewer will gain little insight on the film, and walk away with little to contemplate.

Hammond’s phrasing is awkward in Cloudy 2, and one will certainly find it upsetting that a grown man is using “like” (“On this island where he goes to sort of, like… stop all this,”) but one may chuckle when the critic says “mouth-watering treat.”

Cloudy 2 is definitely a combination of words, but not much else, and one has little to gain by watching.
