Susan Granger Will Give You a Cookie but Not the Jar in “Cloudy 2”

In response to Susan Granger’s 314‑word review of Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2 on SSG Syndicate

The weekend club of average reviews has a new member. Yes, it’s Susan Granger and her offering, “Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2”, which is successful only in that it supplies a sufficient amount of information for the club. However, there is another club known as the general public, and Granger’s review fails them and fails them good.

With a Chance has no clear statement or purpose. This is important to the general reader, and surely important to Granger’s fans. One is searching for an opinion in Granger’s piece, but there is a noticeable absence of analysis. The reader is led blind on a journey that ultimately leads nowhere.

The content of With a Chance is one giant plot description sprinkled with carbon copy statements that can be found anywhere. If Granger has a style, it is certainly missing in this review, and her readers may offer help in locating an opinion that is substantial and worthwhile.

When one reads that the film is “weakly scripted”, it would be beneficial to learn why the critic feels that way. Granger provides clear statements, but offers no insight on the characters, jokes or a further explanation of the plot.

With a Chance is yet another disappointing review that does enough to get by. The reader demands more.
